Info about Recommending Resources
Since adding an email address to the main page, I've received a few emails from people who would like me to link to a specific resource. I wasn't really expecting this, but I'm glad that people see Candy Hospital as a potential means of spreading helpful information! On this page, I'd like to explain how my process works for adding links so people know what to expect when they email me:
- It won't cost anything to have your link placed on one of my resource pages. It doesn't currently cost me any money to maintain this site, so there's no reason for me to charge people for having their content listed on it.
- I will probably add your resource if it meets the following criteria:
- It would make sense to put the resource on either my Mental Health or Pregnancy Help resource pages
- It contains no harmful or false information as far as I can tell
- It doesn't contain exactly the same information as something I've already linked to
- It does not direct readers to a for-profit product or service. It's okay if the website the resource is on also offers paid services, but the page you want me to link to should not encourage people to give their money to the creators of the resource unless there is a good reason for it (for example, a website that teaches Natural Family Planning will typically have a focus on selling courses because guidance from a trained instructor is necessary to use NFP for effective birth control).
- Please also note that this is a personal website maintained by one person as a hobby. If it takes several weeks for me to get back to you, that's normal. Please don't send me multiple follow-up emails asking if I've seen your first email.
Thank you for reading! If you would like to recommend a resource for my resource list, you can email me at emodollie@vivaldi.net.
